At the end of last month, the Letterland HQ team were lucky enough to head out to Korea to go meet our friends at Nawon Education.
This visit was a pretty special one - not only was it the 14th Nawon Education Annual Teachers Conference, but this year's conference also coincided with the upcoming release of Letterland Friends, an exciting new range of Letterland ESL products that have been designed specifically for Korea.
Joanne Lee, who's in charge of all things Letterland at Nawon Education, organised a fantastic conference where over 250 teachers had the chance to find out more about Letterland Friends. She gave attendees activities and tips while doing a demo class for each Level of the programme, getting volunteers (including our Sales & Marketing Director, Tom!) up on stage to participate in demonstrations.
"I was so impressed at how well the conference was organised by Joanne and the rest of the Nawon Education team. I loved taking part during the day and seeing all the creative activity ideas that were shared with all the teachers who attended."
- Tom Wendon, Letterland's Sales & Marketing Director
As part of the conference, Tom gave a speech where he discussed some exciting things going on at Letterland, including our new dress up resources, the increasing number of Letterland Days being hosted around the world, the first professional Letterland musical, and some exciting academic research that has been done on our programme.
He, of course, also spoke about our relationship with Nawon Education and all of the Letterland teachers in Korea:
"It’s amazing to think that Letterland has been in successful partnership with Nawon Education for 10 years. We truly value all the amazing work that Nawon Education does and as our number 1 partner in Asia we can’t wait for many more years working together.
And I also wanted to say thank you to all you teachers and branch managers here today. Without you, Letterland wouldn’t be where we are today. Without you, students would not have the opportunity to have the best start in life. I’m so proud of you, Nawon Education is so proud of you, Lyn Wendon and all of us at Letterland are so proud. Thank you!"
As part of our trip, we also had the lovely opportunity to visit some schools in Daejeon and sit in on their Letterland lessons! It was so much fun seeing the creative teachers use a variety of Letterland props and resources for both Level 1 and 2.
A HUGE thank you to Joanne and the rest of the Nawon Education team for such a great trip and all their continued hard work with Letterland in Korea!
