Our Grade Three Word Cards are here, and we couldn’t be more excited to tell you all about them.

The cards can be used to:
Discuss the word meanings Unit pages provide a child-friendly definition to share with students.
Display the words Seeing the word, while orally repeating it and thinking of the meaning, leads to strong mental connections.
For more information on how to use these cards, you can download full instructions from the Teacher Resources section on Phonics Online* (just search instructions in the search bar).
Other Ways to Use
The Grade Three Word Cards can also be used in many of the Games for Learning in the Grade Three Teacher’s Guide (p154-169) instead of writing words on pieces of paper or card. These games are also available to access in the Teacher Resources section on Phonics Online* (just search 'games' using the search bar).
For review of words and to increase reading fluency, you might like to play the Tractors, Trains, Planes and Helicopters activity. You can move from tractors to helicopters one column at a time or with the whole display.
The word cards cover all the words listed in the Grade Three Teachers Guide, and
you can view a contents list via the Teacher Resources section on Phonics Online* (just search contents list in the search bar).
We’re sure these cards are going to be great addition to your Grade Three lessons, and we can’t wait to see them in action. They are available to purchase individually from our online shop, or included in the Grade Three Pack.
